The PPA KY State Committee is ready to go!

Les Johns is the new PPA KY Assistant State Director, Past State Director, and PPA KY Southeast District Representative.

Kenny Hooker is the new PPA KY Southwest District Representative.

Larry Duncan is the new PPA KY Central District Representative and PPA KY Netroots Director.

Rob Hitesman is the new PPA KY Secretary/Recorder. Rob will also support the Southwest District efforts.

In addition to being the PPA KY State Director, I am the PPA KY Northern District Representative.

Congratulations to everyone selected for the KY State Committee! I thank you for your willingness to serve in this fight for our rights.  We can all be reached at KY@theppa.org.

KY has been divided into four districts, bounded by congressional districts: Southwest KY (KY-01), Central KY (KY-02 and KY-03), Northern KY (KY-04), and Southeast KY (KY-05 and KY-06). Each District has one District Representative.

The PPA KY State Committee will strive to:
- Be the eyes and ears for the PPA National Office in Kentucky, informing the PPA National Office of relevant poker/gaming news and political action.
- Spread the word about PPA, including member recruitment.
- Be active in the netroots, including on the PPA forum.
- Help organize pro-poker rallies, media events, and PPA charity events.
- Attend Congressional Townhall meetings.
- Write letters to the editor and op-eds for local and national media.
- Register new pro-poker voters (see www.poker2008.org ).

PPA KY District Representatives will be responsible for recruiting in their districts, working with local politicians, coordinating PPA activities in their districts, and maintaining communication and contact with the PPA KY State Committee to ensure we are all operating as a unified group within PPA guidelines. They may form local sub-committees to help carry out PPA KY activities within the district if they wish. District representatives will also be responsible for running promotions with, recruiting through, and maintaining positive PR with various poker and gaming clubs/entities throughout the state.
