KY State Committee Update
May 23rd, 2010
Hello all,
I’m pleased to announce the addition of Rob Chapman to the PPA KY State Committee. Rob joins us as the PPA KY Central District Representative, an area that covers KY-02 and KY-03. He resides in KY-03. He posts here as RGC2005.
Rob brings a wealth of experience and a love of poker to our state committee. As a charity tournament promoter, he provides an excellent knowledge resource on the issue. He promotes PPA at these events, handing out PPA t-shirts, bumper stickers, and other swag while signing up new members. He also owns www.PokerKY.com, a site devoted to poker rights and to coverage of the KY poker scene. In this capacity, he has teamed up with Geeks on Poker to produce a weekly radio show and podcast. Geeks on Poker provides PPA KY with a weekly spot on this program to promote that week’s activities.
Rob (in the red shirt) at the 2010 Derby Poker Championship. He played a good tournament, placing in the money in 11th place when his AA all-in fell to KK on the river:
Rob replaces Larry Duncan, who resigned a few months ago. We thank Larry for his service.
Please join me in welcoming Rob to the state committee.
Best regards,
Rich Muny

PPA KY District Representatives are responsible for recruiting in their districts, working with local politicians, coordinating PPA activities in their districts, and maintaining communication and contact with the PPA KY State Committee to ensure we are all operating as a unified group within PPA guidelines. They may form local sub-committees to help carry out PPA KY activities within the district if they wish. District representatives are also responsible for running promotions with, recruiting through, and maintaining positive PR with various poker and gaming clubs/entities throughout the state.
